Independence

Editorial decisions are made independently of commercial ones. No partner, advertiser or affiliate programme sees content before publication, approves content, or has any right of review. No one can buy a position, a favourable description, or the removal of a criticism.

Who writes this

Content is produced by the Hope.id editorial team, which researches, drafts and reviews each page against this policy and our sourcing policy. We do not claim credentials we do not hold, and we do not invent an author to look more authoritative. Where a subject genuinely requires a qualified person, we say so and help you prepare for that conversation rather than substituting for it.

Fairness

Where people who know a subject well disagree, we present the disagreement rather than resolving it in our own voice. We read positions at their strongest, not at their most convenient. We do not caricature a tradition, a discipline, or a sceptic.

Language we do not use

We do not write “guaranteed”, “proven to”, “cure”, “miracle”, “secret”, or any phrasing that implies an outcome we cannot know. We do not use shame. We do not use urgency devices. We do not tell anyone that a practice failed because they did not believe hard enough.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, tell us through the contact form and choose “Correction”. We fix errors in place and note material corrections on the page.

Wellbeing comes before everything else here

People arrive at this site in the middle of something difficult. That changes what we owe them.

• This site provides educational information and reflective exercises. It is not therapy, counselling, diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice, and it never will be.
• Nothing here diagnoses you. No assessment, quiz, score or tool on this site is a clinical instrument, and none of them can tell you anything about your mental health.
• We do not promise recovery, healing, relief, or a timeline for any of it.
• Free and non-commercial support routes appear before any paid or commercial one, on every page that carries both. That ordering is enforced by our build process, not left to judgement.
• We do not use urgency, scarcity, or pressure of any kind, and we do not run a persistent call-to-action that follows you down the page.
• If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please contact your local emergency or crisis service. We are not a crisis service and we cannot respond quickly enough to be one.
